Every plan starts with a full orthopedic and neurological exam, so you know what is going on before anyone adjusts you. Care is scaled to your body, measured against a clear timeline, and ends when you reach your goal.
What a visit here looks like
Your first appointment runs about 45 minutes. It starts with a conversation about what hurts, when it started, and what your days ask of your body. Then Dr. Quintin does an orthopedic and neurological exam: range of motion, reflexes, strength, and how each spinal segment moves when he presses on it. If the findings point to something outside chiropractic scope, you hear that before anything else happens.
If an adjustment is appropriate that day, you get one. Before each adjustment you are told which technique is being used and why. Force is scaled to the person on the table. A competitive lifter and a 78-year-old with thinning bone are not adjusted the same way.
Follow-up visits are shorter. They start with a check on how you responded to the last visit, then the adjustment, then any changes to your home plan.
What we treat
Most people come in with one of these:
- Low back pain, including pain that runs into the hip or leg
- Neck pain and stiffness, including pain that follows a car crash
- Headaches that start at the base of the skull
- Mid-back pain between the shoulder blades, common in people who sit at a desk all day
- Shoulders, hips, knees and ankles that have lost motion after an injury
- Pain from lifting, twisting, or a fall at work
We also see people who are not in pain and want to keep moving well: runners, lifters, people in physical trades, and older adults who want to keep their balance and their independence.
How long care takes
Most patients notice a change within the first two or three visits. Your exam sets an expected timeline, and progress is measured against it rather than adding visits by default. When you reach your goal, the plan ends. If you want periodic visits after that, it is your call, and we will tell you plainly what we think they would do for you.
Cost and payment
A new patient exam with initial adjustment is $150. Follow-up adjustments are $50. We are out of network with insurance, so there is no pre-authorization and no claim denial to wait on. You pay after your visit. If you want to seek reimbursement, ask for a superbill and submit it to your insurer or use it for your HSA or FSA records.
