Hurt on the job? Care that fits your schedule.
Work injuries need treatment that fits a real workweek and paperwork that does not stall. We handle the exam, the documentation and the return-to-work reporting, and we are direct about what you can safely lift, carry and do while you heal.
Choosing your provider in Maine
Under Maine workers’ compensation law, your employer can direct where you get care for the first 10 days after you report the injury. After that, you choose your own provider, and chiropractic care is covered. If you want to come here, tell your employer or the insurer’s case manager and give them our name and address: Elevate Chiropractic, 126 Main Street, Topsham, Maine 04086.
Bring your claim number and the adjuster’s contact information to your first visit so bills and reports go to the right place from day one.
What we handle
- The initial exam and injury report
- Treatment notes in the format the insurer expects
- Work capacity reports: what you can lift, carry, push and pull, and how long you can sit or stand, updated as you progress
- Communication with your employer’s case manager when one is assigned
Being direct about restrictions
You get a clear answer on what you can safely do. If a 40-pound box is off the table for two weeks, the report says 40 pounds and two weeks, not “light duty.” Vague restrictions get ignored on the job and stall claims. Specific ones protect the injury and get you back to full duty sooner.
Common work injuries we see
- Low back strain from lifting or a twist under load
- Neck and shoulder pain from overhead work or long hours at a screen
- Sacroiliac and hip pain after a fall on a hard surface
- Repetitive strain in the wrist, elbow and shoulder
